Verification Process
Learn how Draftz verifies businesses and what our verification badge means.
Reviewed by real people, not algorithms.
Every verification submission is examined and approved or denied by a member of our team — never by an automated system. Verification is available exclusively to Pro and Expert tier subscribers.
How Verification Works
Businesses on Draftz may submit a verification request through their dashboard. During this process, they provide documentation showing that the business belongs to them — such as a business license, utility bill, tax document, bank statement, or insurance certificate. A professional license is optional; the goal is simply to confirm ownership. Our moderation team reviews these submissions and, if the documentation is sufficient, grants the business a verified badge displayed on their profile.
Verification is voluntary. A business that has not submitted or completed verification can still be listed on Draftz — the absence of a badge simply means we have not reviewed their documentation.
What Verification Does Not Cover
- Licensure: Draftz does not verify, validate, or guarantee the current licensure status of any business or its owners. A verified badge reflects a one-time document review and is not a substitute for checking licenses with the appropriate state or local licensing board.
- Employees & Subcontractors: Draftz does not verify the qualifications, background, licensure, or employment status of a business's employees, contractors, or subcontractors.
- Insurance: We do not confirm that a business maintains active general liability, workers' compensation, or professional liability insurance at any given time.
- Quality of Work: Verification does not constitute an endorsement of a business's workmanship, reliability, or suitability for your project.
Disclaimers
- Draftz is a directory platform only. We do not employ, contract with, or partner with the businesses listed, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a listed business.
- All information on a business profile — including contact details, service areas, and project photos — is provided by the business itself. Draftz does not independently confirm its accuracy.
- Reviews reflect the opinions of the individuals who wrote them and are not verified by Draftz for factual accuracy.
- You are solely responsible for performing your own due diligence before hiring any professional, including verifying licenses, insurance, references, and work history.
- Draftz is not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from work performed by a listed business. Any claims should be directed to the business and, where applicable, the appropriate licensing authority.
Reporting Concerns
If you believe a business has provided false documentation or is misrepresenting its credentials, please contact us through the Contact page. We take reports seriously and may revoke a verified badge if a business is found to have submitted fraudulent information.
