We hired Travek to replace our roof, remodel our kitchen, and replace flooring throughout our house. A neighbor had recommended Travek so we met with the designer and started the process. Fast forward to now, which is roughly 9 months after completion and we wanted to share our experience. We had numerous issues throughout the projects. A lot of issues related to a lack of professionalism from the work crews who were virtually unsupervised and consistently left messes or did subpar work. We also were charged for things we felt we’d already paid for. While we like the look of the kitchen, we’ve found numerous issues with the work done overall. We had them come out several times to fix problems with varying degrees of success. For example, as soon as we used a plug, the outlet would be loose because the screws used were too short. They came to fix one, but never checked the others. Eventually, they were all loose and required another visit. Another issue was that the drawers didn’t line up properly. They came out several times for that and for the last visit (today), we were left with drawers that were supposedly fixed but are clearly not evenly spaced (see photos). We’re also disappointed in the functionality of some of the kitchen elements. The sink constantly looks dirty since it doesn’t seem to drain well. The sink divider is small so when you run water in either side, it splashes all over the other side. This was the sink the designer recommended. A perfect example of form over function so now I’m annoyed every time I use the sink. Our roof which had never leaked before they replaced it, leaked after it was replaced. They came out to repair it but never dealt with the damage done inside from the leak. It took us five weeks of calling them repeatedly to finally get someone to address it (though he never checked the attic for damage). We left numerous messages and promised return calls that never happened. As with all Travek work, the work done was never better than mediocre and we’d never recommend them to anyone else.

Stole our $13k deposit for no work or materials! I am an interior designer and had drawn up the plans for what we wanted done at our own home. Travek had come recommended by a former Home Depot person that, at that time, Travek was an installer for. Plus had the reputation for being a Mormon, family run business. The estimate they gave us was much higher than any other estimate we had received, but based upon their reputation, we decided to go forward with Travek. Just before memorial day weekend, we signed the paperwork and gave the $13,000 (10%) . Over the weekend, we decided to not move forward due to the high price. We tried to get a hold of Travek within the cancellation period, but due to the holiday weekend, no one could be reached. The next business day we told them we needed to cancel the project for now, allowing us to save up more to cover their money higher prices. They refused to give us our money back claiming things had started, but nothing was selected, so no materials could have been ordered and no work had begun! They told us we could use it towards another project at any time. Fine, so we tried to use it towards another project to do a yard project or even just replace the carpet in the bedrooms. We were continuously told no or blown off. After 5 years of trying to get any work done with our $13,000 deposit, we gave up! DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY!!!!

OMG! What a great experience! Met with Jacque, the designer from Travek remodeling. She was beyond nice & so knowledgeable. She spent a great deal of time explaining so many different options & left me with so many things to think about. The best thing I found was that there was no hard sell which would have turned me off immediately. She left me with great vibes about dealing with her & this company😀

Very disappointing experience for a $4,000 design investment. We hired this company for design services and paid $4,000. To date, we still have not received all of the renderings or a complete product/material list, including paint colors, hardware, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, etc. We are now having to figure these details out ourselves after paying for the design work. The biggest issue is that we only started getting other construction bids because of the poor service and experience we had with this company. The pricing we were given was also far beyond what we felt was reasonable for our renovation, and instead of helping us find creative ways to accomplish what we wanted within our budget, we were essentially told it couldn’t be done. Had the service been better and the pricing more reasonable, we would have been happy to continue with them for the renovation. What is especially frustrating is that we are now being told we cannot use the designs they provided because they are considered the company’s intellectual property—even though we paid $4,000 for the design services. We are not trying to take credit for their work; we simply want to use the designs we paid for to complete our own home. Our relatively straightforward design took approximately 7 weeks, despite making it clear from the beginning that we needed it completed within 4 weeks. We also had to repeatedly follow up just to get the design process moving. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company unless you have a unlimited budget, plenty of time, and are comfortable with a lengthy process. For us, the lack of communication, delays, pricing, and now the restrictions on using the work we paid for have made this a very frustrating experience.

We hired Travyk for a bathroom remodel. They removed the old shower, tub, sinks/cabinets and made a new larger shower with a bench and niche. They installed new cabinets, sinks, faucets, mirrors and medicine cabinet. They also installed new flooring to match the shower tile. It turned out wonderful. Christian was wonderful to work with. He was efficient, communicated daily and did high quality work.
