Excel Cabinets

I’d like to start with the things Excel did well. Their pricing is competitive, I had used them for 2 full home jobs one new construction and one remodel. They are also very responsive to calls, emails and texts which is appreciated. My first kitchen order went pretty smoothly, some fixes all of which were handled in a timely matter. My second order full kitchen and 4 bathrooms has had a number of issues which I understand happens but they’ve disappointed with prioritizing fixes. I’m flipping a townhouse and ordered new cabinets and countertops. The cabinets they ordered were the wrong color (a brown instead of a Carmel color) but worked in the space so said they could keep them to avoid delays. The cabinets came manufactured incorrectly with the wrong color cabinets sides and missing doors. Excel helped ordering replacement parts which has taken quite awhile 8+ weeks. For the countertop install the wrong slabs were delivered to them and not caught until the install date. The wrong color worked for the slabs so I ok’d the install to help expedite. When I came to inspect the counters the wrong bathroom sinks were installed (round instead of rectangle) and there were fabrication errors in the kitchen (misplaced kitchen sink holes, rounded corners, backsplash installed where I specifically asked for it not to be). They came up with a solution to install my original slabs and have struggled to prioritize the fabrication and installation. They also require the full payment at the time of delivery of the cabinets. So there’s nothing really the customer can do to remediate the issue. In short Excel has some competitive pricing, however their operations/quality control are pretty disorganized so you’ll have to be patient in working thru numerous issues to get you order mostly correct. I’m still hopefully they’ll fix everything for this order in a timely fashion but want to make sure future customers are aware of the issues. I would definitely think twice before using them again.
